RICHELLE OADES

Brokerage Owner Kansas Broker Missouri Broker-Associate

I began my career in real estate after I flipped my own property, a starter home in Prairie Village, for a six figure profit. I realized I had an opportunity to provide genuine customer service in this industry; answering late night texts negotiating sellers through tricky inspections, coffee sit downs for first time buyer consultations, strategizing listing plans, and giving honest guidance to my clients. I had faith that by putting others first, and not treating them like a commission check, my business would flourish.

The average established Realtor sells 11 homes a year. In my first year I sold more than $5,500,000 between 30 homes. Beyond the financial success, I discovered that helping people through one of the most stressful events of their lives - buying or selling a home - and making that challenging time easier for them was very rewarding. Every thank you note and positive review from my clients filled me with pride and I knew that I had found my professional calling. Today, I keep those notes clipped up a gold wire board in my office to remind me on challenging days that guiding someone through this often trying time is so fulfilling because it truly makes a difference in my clients’ lives.

My goal for every client is to help them achieve their desired results in real estate. If I can do that, and alleviate stress along the way, then I’ve done my job. I specialize in residential real estate, including all aspects of buying and selling. I have also worked with many Kansas City companies and individuals relocating to the area and love showing off my city!

Prior to working in real estate I managed teams of up to 45 people as a marketing and sales manager for household brands like BACARDI, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Gold’s Gym and Grey Goose. Years of overseeing multi-state territories developed my business acumen, accountability and professionalism skills, which have all been crucial to my achievements as a realtor and broker.

Outside of real estate I enjoy nights on my back patio with my three kiddos, and our Australian Shepherd, Peanut, listening to music, drinking a great glass of red wine and binge watching excellent television with my husband, Jimmy.

JK RODRICKS

Brokerage Owner Missouri Broker Kansas Broker-Associate

As a native of Kansas City, I grew up in a real estate family.  After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, I attended Rockhurst University. The Jesuit focus of learning, leadership and service led me to a career in the non-profit sector, and during my time at Rockhurst, I started working for the YMCA of Greater Kansas City.

My time at the Y is something I’m very proud of. I grew from a part-time assistant to a program director, supervising nearly 50 employees across nine locations. I served hundreds of families, and pioneered innovative programs designed to enhance the lives of thousands. In December of 2014, after 15 satisfying years of service, I made the decision to change careers.

After I left the Y, I went back to my roots and obtained my real estate license. My first client was an investor, and I knew that this was the path for me. I manage millions of dollars in transactions at any given time. Whether you’re interested in a single family house or a large-scale multi-family repositioning project, I have the experience, knowledge, and team in place to help you be successful. The majority of my clients live outside of Kansas City, and I’ve established a reputation for being my clients’ eyes, ears and advocate.

My hobbies include swimming, rowing and gardening. I spent many years as a rowing coach and I currently sit on the board of directors for Kansas City Artists Coalition.

Beth Koch

Kansas & Missouri Realtor

As a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri, I know and love the city and all it’s unique neighborhoods.  After college, my husband and I moved back to KC and purchased our first home in Waldo. At the time I had no idea the deal we were getting and didn’t feel like we received much guidance in our journey.

As our family grew we moved into our dream home in Brookside.  I’ll never forget how important it was to find “the one” and all the stresses that came with that process. I was meticulous in my search and determined to find the perfect home for our family. My clients receive this same level of care in every transaction. I treat your home search like my home search and fight to get you the most for your sale, all while listening to ensure I focus on what’s important to you. Over the past several years I have built my business primarily on referrals (the truest testament of my clients’ satisfaction!) and I am so happy to have found a second career I am passionate about.

Prior to getting my Real Estate Licenses I earned a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a Masters of Education.  I was an educator for 11 years. As an educator I learned how to be patient, detail oriented and an advocate for all my students.  I bring that same level of commitment to my clients. As a realtor I will be an advocate for you! Whether you are buying or selling I will work tirelessly to promote your best interest.  I am determined to make your selling process profitable and to find you the perfect property just as I did for my family and have done for many clients since.

Erica Oades Peoples

Compliance Manager

Erica started working in real estate in 2004. She worked for a small brokerage where she was the co-broker, operations manager, and compliance manager – all rolled into one. She enjoys the details of life and work to ensure that documents are prepared correctly and small details aren’t missed.

In 2009, Erica took a break from real estate to focus on getting her MBA in finance while the real estate market healed from the recession of 2008. After obtaining her MBA, Erica worked for NASB as the transaction compliance manager for withdrawn and denied loans. It was her job to ensure that all files were closed correctly and lawfully.

Erica spent a few years selling auto and home insurance with her husband before deciding to return to real estate as a compliance manager again. Going over files and ensuring agents are in compliance is something that comes naturally to Erica.

Erica lives in Overland Park with her husband, two children, nephew, and friendly German Shepherd, Rockie. She is also the Troop Leader and Cookie Manager for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. She enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling in her down time – when she finally has some! In the fall of 2019, Erica will be studying to get her real estate license again – something she is greatly looking forward to!

Kristen Doppelt

Kansas & Missouri Realtor, owner of Cozy in KC

I am a Kansas City native and graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in business. I started my real estate career right out of college when I obtained a job as a property manager at a 400 unit complex in Wichita. I continued my career in property management through 2009 when I decided to obtain my real estate license for the first time. I loved real estate but my true passion was travel. I decided to turn my first home into a long term rental and I moved to Puerto Rico for a year and ran a small guest house.

The experience was amazing and I wouldn’t change it for anything but I quickly learned that I couldn’t live without my family and decided to move back to Kansas City. Once back in KC I continued to pursue my career in property management and worked for several large companies as a regional manager and director of operations. In 2019 I decided to utilize my experience in property management and once again pursue a career in real estate. I obtained both my Kansas and Missouri real estate licenses and I have not looked back. I truly enjoy working with anyone looking to buy or sell real estate. Whether you are a seasoned investor, or a first time home buyer or seller, my top priority is to help you achieve your real estate goals. I also own an Air BnB management company called Cozy in KC and I love utilizing my real estate experience to help my clients identify the perfect investment properties in our city.

Blaire Lawrence

Kansas & Missouri Realtor

I have had a passion for homes for most of my life. In nearby Richmond, Missouri, my mom was a real estate broker and I grew up helping her in the office and showing homes. I was previously licensed and have found my way back to real estate after many years working in sales and marketing for well-known brands including Pepperidge Farms/Campbell's Soup, ULTA, Hanes and BACARDI.

I moved back to the Kansas City area two years ago and am reminded of everything I love about this city - especially the people. Everyone here is so welcoming and generous. I also love the food and libation scene! There are so many unique and quirky places to try out. I have lived in both St. Louis and Chicago and I felt like a piece of my heart was missing until I moved back here. KC makes me feel at home! I now live in Leawood with my husband Matt and our son Nash. In my free time I love to cook and bake for my loved ones. I'm also a Mizzou graduate, where I obtained a B.S. in Agriculture Business, and love to cheer on the Tigers!

Real estate is a great career for me because I love meeting new people and helping them find their dream home. I want my clients to know that will be your biggest advocate! I have a strong background in sales and customer service and I will ensure full communication and honesty. Whether this is your first home or your 10th, I will make this a positive and seamless experience.

Mary Oades

Kansas & Missouri Realtor

My connection to Kansas City is rooted in our fine city's people. My husband Dan and I each enjoy large family and friend networks. We started our family in Arizona, and quickly realized that KC is where we wanted to raise them, with similar values that I experienced growing up here. Prior to joining ROCO, I was fortunate enough to stay home with my three daughters and one son. Cheering them on in sports and developing their mental and spiritual strength gives me the most satisfaction in life.

My professional background is in education. I graduated with a teaching degree from the University of Kansas and then obtained a Masters in Special Education from UMKC. I spent several years teaching and coordinating individual education plans between teachers and parents of children with learning challenges. While working professionally, I fell in love with interior home design as we bought and sold a couple of homes. When I moved back to Kansas City, I was hired as an independent design consultant and found a spark for helping people convert their houses into homes. This love of design and people, combined with previous work experience with a real estate brokerage twenty years ago, inspired me to pursue real estate as a career.

Although I miss working with children in an educational capacity I find working with clients to be extremely rewarding. I love the entire process, from staging to showing, and ultimately to negotiating on my clients' behalf and helping them reach the closing table.  Outside of work, I am involved as a volunteer at our children's school and as well as Bags of Fun, an organization that brings a little joy to kids battling illnesses in our local hospitals.

Erika Costes

Realtor - Kansas & Missouri

I began my real estate career in 2004 after moving from a small town in Southern Missouri! I began as a leasing agent for a Kansas City based, property management company. I quickly fell in love with the industry and soaked up every ounce of knowledge I possibly could from mentors and vendors. After 13 years in the multi-family world I moved over to single-family property management and HOA property management until landing in short term rental management. I enjoy helping travelers have an amazing experience when visiting Kansa City! I became a licensed agent in Kansas and Missouri in 2021 and have developed a passion for assisting investors in finding hidden gems in the Kansas City market. For many years I stuck to neighborhoods I worked in or lived and rarely ventured out of my comfort zone. Helping travelers have a wonderful experience while also assisting real estate clients has opened my eyes to what a remarkable city we live in! I love to try new restaurants, walk in different parks/trails and shop local to support small businesses. Whether you are new to Kansas City, a native, investor or first time home buyer I would love the opportunity to help you find your gem!
